Pastor Patrick Curley
Pastor Patrick Curley was born in June 1962 having his formative years in Michigan and Ohio before
moving with his family to Southern California in 1973. His B.A. was received in Visual Arts from Cal State
U., Fullerton, in 1985, and he continues to enjoy creative pursuits such as painting and ceramics. He was
ordained in July 1989 having received his M. Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Waye. He
has faithfully served four LC-MS congregations as sole pastor since that time in Chicago, Portland, Covina
and Chino. His vicarage was at Centro Christiano de Ysleta in El Paso where he met and married his wife,
Lulu, in 1988. They have three children together; Luke, Analise and Olivia.
Pastor Curley has an evangelist’s heart enjoying visitation and engaging with the community. The Great
Commission is ever on his mind. Thus, his approach to ministry is to bring them in through Word and
Sacrament, build them up through continued worship, Bible study and prayer, then send them out as
servants and witnesses of the Gospel. He believes a partnership between pastor and members is vital to
a healthy, growing ministry.
